me
iconographoclast is an ongoing iterative documentation on and by Caleb Lee, that's me up above. I currently live and grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I am a sophomore at the University of Michigan studying architecture and STS things I am undeterrably passionate about, and this is my monument. Philosophy - a typology I am not happy with but one of my passions nonetheless - cultivated me into appreciating the world as an inherently phenomenologically oriented simulacrum. I've always wanted to maximize my positive ethical impact; I will never be happy in a world in which my happiness is the direct result of the exploitation of others. The common response I usually get is why I'm not in social work or medicine. My equally common response was to accumulate a maximum amount of wealth to donate to the most efficient charities, however I became disillusioned in effective altruism once I understood the paradigm it substantiated. Nonetheless, architecture remains my number one vector to pursuing my passions and ambitions, for the built environment is the point of convergence of the totality of the metaphysical web of life: the definer of the tabula rasa.
